VMRC is a vibrant continuing care retirement community offering a full spectrum of living options in the city of Harrisonburg. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge and Massanutten Mountains of the Shenandoah Valley, we strive to be a community of hope, meaning and growth where people can age well and live fully.
How do we do this?
• By offering meaningful programs and events that engage residents and offer opportunities for continued learning like our Juried Art Exhibition and Spiritual Growth programs.
• By our involvement with the local community. Many residents are volunteers who give their time to a number of charitable and civic causes.
• By creating and nurturing a supportive and caring environment for residents and staff that is firmly rooted in our Mennonite heritage.
• By being an engaging hub of activity for residents, guests, community members and staff.
Our community comes together through our interwoven neighborhoods, events, classes, and daily moments of serendipity. When people move to VMRC and make it their home, they don’t give up their lives or lifestyles; they stay connected to the things they love. Part of our responsibility is to make meaningful life effortless.
We have more than 460 employees and are still growing. We strive to promote relationships that strengthen our sense of community and commitment, where serving as we work, giving more than is expected, and treating each other with kindness and respect becomes a way of life.
Benefits
Employees at VMRC are eligible for benefits on the date of hire. Part-time positions scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible for most benefits.
