Position Summary
The Senior Director of Facilities Management leads the planning, development, and oversight of EveryAge’s facilities across multiple communities, across NC and Virginia. Based in Newton, NC, this role is responsible for major construction and renovation projects, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance programs, and the support and mentorship of on-site facility leaders.
This position plays a vital part in ensuring our communities remain safe, welcoming, and aligned with our mission of providing exceptional environments where older adults can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to on-site Directors of Facilities and Plant Operations
Oversee major construction, renovation, and expansion projects from concept through completion
Serve as EveryAge’s owner’s representative with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Collaborate on capital planning and manage project budgets, bids, timelines, and invoices
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and licensing requirements
Lead preventive maintenance efforts, safety programs, and emergency preparedness
Support operational readiness for new facilities and expansions
Conduct annual facility inspections and recommend improvements
Maintain organized, compliant documentation for all projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
At least 8 years of progressive experience in facilities management, construction, or real estate development
Proven experience managing large scale construction projects
Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
Effective leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience in healthcare, senior living, or long term care environments preferred
