- Senior Accountant- Leadership Track to Assistant VP of Finance
Description
Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial statements and reports.
Oversee general ledger activities and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
Support and contribute to the development and presentation of financial reports to Boards of Directors and senior leadership.
Coordinate audit preparation and presentation and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
Lead or support and oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Strengthen internal controls and collaborate across departments to improve financial processes.
Manage cash flow and oversee treasury functions including forecasting cash needs and maintaining accurate cash positions.
Prepare annual filings and regulatory reports.
Take on increasing leadership responsibilities, including supervision of accounts payable functions.
Identify opportunities to optimize financial systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
Support the development and training of accounting staff, with increasing responsibility for mentoring and team oversight.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
CPA or MBA preferred (required for advancement to Assistant VP Finance).
4-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Senior living or healthcare accounting experience preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Advanced Excel and proficiency in accounting systems.
Experience in Sage Intacct, Point Click Care, and One-Site software a plus. preferred.
